In September of 2010, the University of North Texas completed the renovation of their music hall, renaming it the Paul Voertman Concert Hall. Jaffe Holden from Connecticut designed the acoustics, and a Meyer speaker system was employed. Electro Acoustics was called on to complete the design of the 14-channel surround sound speaker system using a Yamaha digital console.
“We are thrilled with this transformation of a tired, worn-out and dated hall into a beautiful and acoustically splendid space that will serve our students and faculty for their many performances of solo and small ensemble music,” said UNT College of Music Dean James C. Scott. “There is no doubt that Voertman Hall will house more performances than any other college of music space.”
