Technician

Technician

The Position: We’re looking for AV Technicians who want to learn and grow. AV technicians are responsible to ensure audio, video, lighting, and control systems are installed in accordance with EA standards and APEx standards under the supervision of a project lead or lead in training. The position’s compensation varies based on experience. Start a new career with a team of experts!

Responsibilities: Install projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with industry standards; Ensure work is done safely; Develop your audio/video/lighting skills.

Requirements: Able to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments, amid stressful situations and deadlines; Reliable means of transportation and smartphone; Available to work overtime, out of town, evenings, and weekends as needed to support clients; Basic knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting, and basic power systems; Skilled with Microsoft software; Commitment to learning, growth, and development.

Training expectations for this role include earning the AV Technologist certificate and completing AVIXA’s Essentials of AV and Project Management for AV courses.

Compensation Range $18-$24/hr

  • Lead in Training

    Lead in Training

    The Position: Having mastered the fundamentals of system installation, the Lead in Training (LIT) role is all about learning how to lead teams and manage projects. LITs are responsible to ensure assigned installation projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with EA and APEx standards with oversight from Project Lead and/or Field Manager. LITs also train and develop Technicians. LITs continue to perform all the work that Technicians perform while also managing projects. Leaders at EA lead by doing and set the example. Learning to lead others and work in a team are essential to developing a successful career at EA. The LIT role is where you get to start developing those skills while being mentored by other leaders at EA.

    Responsibilities: Lead install teams to complete projects on time and on budget while also installing alongside the Team; Ensure work is done safely; Hone your leadership skills and develop your technical knowledge.

    Requirements: Must have CTS credential. Able to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments, amid stressful situations and deadlines; Reliable means of transportation and smartphone; Available to work overtime, out of town, evenings, and weekends as needed to support clients; Basic-Intermediate knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting, and basic power systems; Skilled with Microsoft software; Commitment to learning, growth, and development.

    Compensation Range: $27.50-$29.50/hr

  • Project Lead

    Project Lead

    The Position: Having mastered the fundamentals of system installation and proven your ability to lead projects, the Project Lead (PL) role is all about delivering results and developing the Team around you. PLs are responsible to ensure assigned installation projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with EA and APEx standards. PLs also train and develop Technicians and support their growth in their AV Careers. PLs continue to perform all the installation work alongside Technicians while also managing/coordinating projects. Leaders at EA lead by doing and set the example. Learning to lead others and work in a team are essential to developing a successful career at EA. The PL role is where you master these skills as you prepare to take on future roles in either Project Management, Design, Sales, or Service.

    Responsibilities: Lead install teams to complete projects on time and on budget while also installing alongside the Team; Ensure work is done safely; Hone your leadership skills and develop your technical knowledge.

    Requirements: Must have CTS credential. Able to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments, amid stressful situations and deadlines; Reliable means of transportation and smartphone; Available to work overtime, out of town, evenings, and weekends as needed to support clients; Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting, and basic power systems; Skilled with Microsoft software; Commitment to learning, growth, and development.

    Compensation Range: $31.75-$35.25/hr

  • Customer Support Lead

    Customer Support Lead

    The Position: You know AV technology since you have installed and operated it for years. Now apply your experience to solving some of the most difficult technical challenges in time-pressured situations. Customer Support Leads are responsible for diagnosing and resolving problems, coordinating with manufacturers, communicating with clients, and providing training to clients. We’re looking for AV professionals who want to serve clients in need while cultivating their expertise.

    Responsibilities: Lead install teams to complete projects on time and on budget while also installing alongside the Team; Ensure work is done safely; Hone your leadership skills and develop your technical knowledge.

    Requirements: Must have CTS credential. Able to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments, amid stressful situations and deadlines; Reliable means of transportation and smartphone; Available to work overtime, out of town, evenings, and weekends as needed to support clients; Advanced knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting, basic power systems, DSP, and Control Systems; Skilled with Microsoft software; Commitment to learning, growth, and development.

    Compensation Range: $31.75-$35.25/hr

  • Systems Designer

    Systems Designer

    The Position: We’re looking for AV system designers who want to learn and grow as part of a collaborative team. Systems designers are responsible for translating customers’ needs into complete AV systems, choosing the products and solutions that best fit customers’ needs, and solving problems by working with Account Managers, Project Leads, and the rest of the Electro Acoustics Team. Our Systems Designers ensure audio, video, lighting, and control systems are designed in accordance with EA and APEx standards.

    Responsibilities: Develop a complete system concept/design to meet a client’s needs; Resolve technical questions and ensure all the equipment works together; build and publish quotes/proposals; draft drawing packages in AutoCAD; Work closely with Sales and Installation to support the Team’s success.

    Requirements: Must have CTS credential (CTS-I Preferred) and experience as a Customer Support or Project Lead; Enrolled in or completed CAD drafting course (online or in-person).

    Compensation Range: $32-$45/hr

  • Customer Support Administrator

    Customer Support Administrator

    The Position: We’re looking for the individual who will serve as the foundation of our Customer Support (CS) Team. As the CS Administrator, you will keep our team of awesome technicians organized so that we do not let our clients down. You fulfill this position by being a master-communicator internally and externally. This is not a technical AV position, though you will be supporting some of the best and most knowledgeable technicians in the industry. The team depends on you maintaining a global view of all our work orders so they can stay focused on solving the techinical issues in front of them.

    Responsibilities: Answer the phone and email to receive issues customers have with their systems; update clients proactively and at least weekly about the status of their WOs; schedule technicians to respond to service requests; manage the work order (WO) ticketing system to ensure every WO gets touched each week; prepare WO invoices; and manage the maintenance plan program.

    Requirements: Strong people-service orientation and love of financial/administrative tasks; exceptional at staying organized and keeping others organized; maintain friendly and professional attitude when dealing with clients who are stressed because their AV systems are not working; able to switch between tasks constantly throughout the day; able to hold others accountable to following written processes; and outstanding written communication skills.

    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success as a dispatcher or customer service representative/manager at another company.

    Compensation Range: $25-$30/hr depending on experience.
