A Good Sound System is Heard and Not Seen
Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, TX was in need of a new audio system that would provide speech clarity to every seat in their sanctuary. The previously installed system was outdated and the church decided that it needed the best available communication tools to inspire their congregation and build a community of faith.
Electro Acoustics was called on by Idibri, the audio consultant to the church, to provide an updated sound system while making sure not to disturb the architectural beauty of the sanctuary. To be heard and not seen is a skill that we specialize in at Electro Acoustics! One other major challenge that we faced during this project was that the church services needed to continue every Sunday while the installation was being completed. Every week our team ensured the sanctuary was clean and the existing audio system was working for the services held over the weekend.
What may seem like a simple system to the eye actually made a huge difference to the sound in the church. The new Tannoy Qflex steerable line array speakers fill the room with high quality and intelligible sound, while the Innovox speakers fill spaces such as the choir area, chancel, and under the balcony. A Midas M32 digital mixing console was selected and is set with multiple presets and scenes to meet the different needs throughout services. New connection points were installed throughout the church so that no minor detail was overlooked and ensures the Word is clearly heard!
